Some things the Assocation does...
The Association is an independent body registered with the Hong Kong police and was set up to look after the interest of people who sail sportsboats.

• Has a membership which funds the association through subscriptions. The funds are used for an inventory of spare parts and for support of the association's activities and membership of the HK Sailing Federation.
• Keeps an updated inventory of spare parts
• Measures sails free of charge
• Writes sailing instructions and Notices of races and L notices
• Prepares an annual race program and coordinates with the Club
• Race reports and newsletters
• Social events and prize giving
• Prepares Race results and a ladder
• Provides the members with information on upcoming events and reminders about rating certificates etc. and information from the Marine department.
• Organizes international sailing events
• Provides racing and boat handling tips
• Provides discounts to members for social functions
• Approves and coordinates amendments to local class rules
• Liaises with other clubs and sports boat classes around the region
• Keeps accounts and deals with legal issues
• Provides a list of crew and helps owners and crew link up
• Attend regular sailing committee meetings
• Bring member's needs to the attention of appropriate committees within the Club
• Has its own web site which is updated on a regular basis
• Promotes the class to websites like Sail World Asia
• Maintains a notice board at Kellet Island
